HOT YOGA

We offer now Hot yoga, the original Bikram Yoga Beginning Series classes. The 90-minute classes suited for students of all ages and levels of ability- beginners and more experienced students alike!

 The series of twenty-six Hatha Yoga postures and two breathing exercises was strategically developed by Physical Culturist Bishnu Charan Ghosh, one of the greatest and most influential yoga master of the past century, mentor to Bikram Choudhury and brother of the great spiritual leader Paramahasana Yogananda. Ghosh was a celebrated physical culturist and the first to scientifically document yoga’s ability to cure not only common ailments but chronic physical ailments and heal the body.

 Hot Yoga postures are practiced in a heated room and are designed to work every part of your body systematically, to engage all the internal organs, veins, ligaments, and all the muscles and joints. Everything needed to maintain optimum health and maximum function. The room is heated because a warm body is a flexible body. Hatha Yoga flushes out the toxins from the glands and organs of your body. It provides a natural irrigation through the circulatory system with the help of the respiratory system. It brings nourishments to every cell of your body so that each one can perform its function and keep your body healthy. Humidity is added to further that cleaning process. When you sweat, impurities are flushed out of your body through your skin. You will notice, your regular yoga practice will increase the supply of oxygen.

How To Prepare for Hot Yoga

The concept of a mind-body connection is not a new one, and it is often said that exercise can help ward off depression as well as relieve stress. Perhaps you have tried other forms of exercise and feel something is missing. Imagine, HOT YOGA is the answer.

We offer a beginner class that is suitable for all levels and invite you to give it a try!

  • PREPARATION FOR HOT YOGA CLASS AND INFO FOR YOUR FIRST TIME PRACTICE

Students of all levels welcome!

Get ready for your first class!!!

New students, please arrive 20-30 minutes before class

Tell your instructor about injuries, special needs, or concerns. You can always skip postures that don’t feel right.

Drink plenty water up to one hour before class. Be prepare to sweat!

Refrain from eating two-three hours before class

Wear light, comfortable exercise clothing, men shorts or bathing suit, women exercise top and shorts

Avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, essential oils or scented deodorants

Smokers, please avoid smoking for several hours prior class

Bring a yoga mat, large towel, and bottle of water. Rental mats, towels and water are available

Bring a change of clothes as your yoga clothes will be drenched from sweat.

BE PREPARE TO SWEAT!

Our 90 minutes class is performed in a 105F room with 40% humidity to prevent illness, heal injuries, and promote weight loss and detoxification, while reducing the effects of aging.
